Certified Scrum Master

Note: You must be based in Belgium and 8 days a month on site at the Brussels office is mandatory.

Role

The Senior Scrum Master plays a key role in ensuring that all Scrum-related activities are delivered effectively and on time. This includes defining and coordinating Scrum roles, leading sprint planning, facilitating daily stand-ups, and guiding sprint reviews and retrospectives. In this role, you will lead up to two Scrum teams, working both locally and offshore, and will oversee planning activities such as defining timelines, budgets, procedures, staffing needs, and allocating resources across project phases.

Required profile

Given the complexity of our initiatives, we are looking for candidates who also have experience managing traditional waterfall-style IT projects, as well as a background in people management or direct team leadership.

• Experience in wholesale financial markets is required, ideally with knowledge of UK equities or bond settlement.
• Experience managing hybrid or offshore teams is essential for this role.
• Experience leading at least two teams is also essential.
• You are a certified Scrum Master with demonstrated experience delivering change in a Scrum Master capacity.
• You have a proven track record of leading medium- to large-scale project teams across all phases of the life cycle-from requirements and design through build, testing, acceptance, and launch-using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Certification in a recognized Project Management framework (eg, PRINCE2 or PMI) is highly desirable.
• You can operate effectively with both senior and junior colleagues in a Matrix management environment
