OverviewAs a Centre Manager with Oxford International Junior Programmes, you will be client-facing and responsible for the complete over sight of the day to day running of one of our residential language centres.
All candidates need to be over 18 years old, eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure Check and/or an Overseas Police Check.
Must Haves- Experience working in a residential camp setting or similar
- Experience managing a team, ideally in a residential camp setting or similar
- The ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce
- A skill set that enables success in a fast paced work environment
- A positive and flexible approach to work, along with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- A desire to work with students aged between 8 17
- The ability to demonstrate respect for equal opportunities and respect for race and diversity

- Building an efficient and cohesive staff team by:
- Creating a positive environment, in which staff feel motivated and willing to work hard
- Ensuring all staff undergo relevant on site induction
- Holding daily meetings with the senior staff team
- Monitoring staff performance, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout
- Ensuring staff appraisals are conducted by relevant line managers
- Consistently provide outstanding customer service throughout the programme by:
- Holding daily meetings with Group Leaders and Host Centre Staff to maintain clear communication
- Promptly answering all requests from Group Leaders and Host Centre Staff
- Implementing an engaging Group Leader programme
- Being responsible for collating and then acting upon client feedback efficiently, reporting this to Head Office.
- Maintaining close control over expenditure
- Organising Centre Airport Transfers
- Monitoring the allocation of accommodation, ensuring host centre staff are updated on a regular basis
- Ensuring the compilation of weekly catering numbers, and that these are provided to the host centre staff by set deadlines
- Making sure the Head Office receives all necessary documentation by set deadlines including all documents required from the Activity Manager, Student Support Manager and Director of Studies.
- Maintaining proper levels of student discipline, safety and welfare throughout, as well as ensuring student and staff health and safety and monitoring the implementation of risk assessments.
- Overseeing the control of meal cards, travel cards where applicable in partnership with the AM.
- Responding quickly to emergencies where necessary
- Being responsible for staff welfare, offering support when needed
- Maintaining a great presence throughout, ensuring you are visible to students and easily contactable by clients
- Represent the organisation in a professional and approachable manner.
- Always uphold our safeguarding and welfare commitments.
- Actively engaging with students and ensuring their enjoyment.
- Adapt to the dynamic nature of working in a residential youth environment.
