GP Opportunities - Central Buchan Medical Practice Strichen & Central Buchan Full-Time & Part-Time Applications Welcome Up to 20 Sessions AvailableLooking for a GP role where you can practise broad, rewarding medicine, become part of a supportive rural team and develop the career that interests you?
Central Buchan Medical Practice is looking to recruit GPs to join our team across three practice sites in and around the Strichen area, with up to 20 sessions per week available across two full-time posts.
We welcome applications from GPs looking for full-time or part-time opportunities and are happy to discuss flexible sessional arrangements for the right candidates.
Remote & Rural General PracticeWorking within Central Buchan offers the opportunity to experience the variety, continuity and professional satisfaction that comes with remote and rural general practice.
Our three-site model allows clinicians to work across local communities while remaining part of one wider practice team.
You will have the opportunity to manage a broad and interesting clinical caseload while working alongside an established multidisciplinary team (MDT). Collaborative working is central to how we deliver care, with different healthcare professionals working together to support both our patients and our clinical team.
For GPs who enjoy continuity of care, clinical variety and getting to know the communities they serve, Central Buchan provides an opportunity to build a genuinely rewarding general practice career.
Develop the GP Career You WantWe want our GPs to have the opportunity to develop professionally and build a role that reflects their own interests and ambitions.
We actively encourage training, continued professional development and the development of special clinical interests.
Whether you already have an established special interest that you would like to develop further, or you are at an earlier stage in your career and would like to explore new areas, we would be happy to discuss how we can support this within your role.
For GPs interested in developing their career further, there will also be opportunities to become involved in clinical leadership, quality improvement, service development and the future direction of general practice within the organisation.
Why Central BuchanCentral Buchan offers the opportunity to combine a rewarding career in general practice with the lifestyle benefits of living and working in rural north-east Scotland.
Strichen and the surrounding Buchan communities are set amongst the Aberdeenshire countryside, while the spectacular north-east coastline is within easy reach.
The area is well suited to those who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, with countryside, coastal villages, beaches and walking routes all nearby. At the same time, the location provides access to the larger towns across Buchan and connections towards Aberdeen.
Working across our three practice sites also provides genuine variety. Each community has its own character and patient population, while clinicians remain part of the same wider Central Buchan team.
For GPs attracted to rural medicine, it offers the opportunity to develop meaningful continuity with patients and families and become part of the communities you serve.
