Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal and customer preferences are considered
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with inventory management
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Serve dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Support training of junior staff members and interns as required
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a professional chef within a restaurant or similar setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
Experience in meal preparation across various cuisines is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Previous experience in serving customers or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory
