Job Description

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 11:30 - 13:30

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: £12.71

As a Catering Assistant, you will be an important part of our school kitchen team, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient preparation and service of lunchtime meals.

Working in a Primary or Secondary school, your duties will be varied and may include setting up the dining area, assisting with basic food preparation and cooking, serving meals, cleaning and washing up, and maintaining kitchen equipment and service items to a high standard.

You will take pride in providing friendly and excellent customer service to pupils and colleagues, while helping to maintain a safe, clean and efficient kitchen and dining environment.

About You

Enthusiastic and positive approach to work

Catering experience is preferred, but a positive, can-do attitude is essential

Good understanding of the principles of food hygiene

Able to follow instructions, while also using initiative to make appropriate decisions in the best interests of the customer

Customer-focused, ensuring every customer has an excellent experience

A determined team player who works well with others
