Berkeley Scott is seeking a catering assistant for temporary positions across Stockport, including schools, contract catering sites, stadiums, hotels and restaurants. The role involves preparing and serving hot and cold food, clearing and closing the unit after each shift, upholding food safety and allergen standards, and assisting with special events and buffets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of hot and cold food items
• Help clear and close the unit at the end of each shift
• Maintain standards in line with food safety and food allergen legislation
• Assist with special events and buffets as required

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous catering or food service experience is essential
• Use of till and/or computerised stock system is advantageous
• Food safety and food allergen qualifications or willingness to complete them is essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, sometimes challenging environment
• Team player with the initiative to work independently
• Driver preferred but not essential
• Commitment to delivering excellent service
