About Our Nursery

Our nursery setting offers a safe and stimulating environment where children can progress through their Early Years journey at their own pace. Our eight bright, airy playrooms are named after local fruits and tailored to each stage of a child's development. Our Taunton Nursery offers three vibrant gardens for safe, stimulating outdoor play, including mud kitchens and vegetable-growing areas. We also have a dedicated forest school practitioner guiding children in exploring nature, developing motor, social, and physical skills.

Activities

Engaging early years programmes include Sing and Sign, Boogie Mites, Make and Bake, and Yoga, plus local park outings to connect children with their community and environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all production, service and presentation of food is up to standard
  • Carrying out all catering activities in line with the budget
  • Ensuring any comments regarding the catering operation are noted and acted upon immediately
  • Purchasing supplies through the agreed suppliers
  • Ensuring all aspects of the Health & Safety at Work Act are complied with
  • Covering all duties in times of Cook's absence
  • Assisting within the nursery rooms, as advised by the Nursery Manager or the Cook
