Job Summary

Position: Catering Assistant (Carmarthenshire County Council, Newcastle Emlyn). Contract: Permanent Part Time. Salary: £13.67 per hour. Hours: 1 x 9 hours / 1 x 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals.
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
• Set up and clear tables and perform general cleaning duties.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good communication and people skills, ability to build good relationships with adults.
• Knowledge of basic food safety (advantage, not essential); full training will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to assist with other catering duties.
• Basic conversational Welsh (Level 2). Reasonable support will be provided upon appointment.
• Required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
