Category Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Manager to join a growing Procurement & Supply Chain function, shaping strategy across a broad range of categories.

With £500m of annual third-party spend to analyse and influence, this is a role where commercial thinking, strategic sourcing and supplier management can make a real impact.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing and implementing category strategies across goods, works and services.




• Analysing spend to identify savings, efficiencies and value-add opportunities.




• Leading sourcing activity, negotiations and contract development.




• Building strong supplier relationships and driving performance.




• Managing contract renewals, mitigating supply chain risks and reducing total cost of ownership.




• Working with stakeholders to deliver procurement objectives and measurable results.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience developing and delivering successful category strategies.


• Strong spend analysis and commercial acumen.


• Experience with complex contracts, sourcing and supplier negotiations.


• Excellent stakeholder management and attention to detail.


• Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
