DescriptionAs a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing, controlling, and monitoring specific supply chain activities. You will also handle the management and reporting of materials on allocated projects.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee suppliers of Aggregates, Waste & Asphalt products.
- Control supplier selection based on business and project comparisons (commercial/operational) to generate shortlists and recommendations in line with governance and project needs.
- Negotiate terms, digital trade, SLAs, and pricing with suppliers.
- Conduct final negotiations and prepare contracts, establishing long-term relationships focused on value, service, and quality, aiming for continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
- Develop and analyze procurement management information, including spend reports. Collaborate with the Data Team to create monthly dashboards for better business intelligence.
- Coordinate with the wider business to resolve supply issues as needed.
- Support sustainable procurement initiatives.
- Participate in the mobilization of new contracts, which may involve remote work.
- Previous procurement experience.
- Experience in utilities, plant, or PPE is beneficial.
