Role DescriptionWe have a new opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join us here at Princes! To support with the development of category strategy for key business areas, aligned to Marketing priorities. Through category insight, you will work collaboratively with the wider business to create key merchandising principles to delivery on category growth. You will drive business awareness of the performance through monthly reporting and deeper analysis, to support the Marketing, RGM and Commercial teams.
Dimensions- Work closely with Princes Brand teams to support the development of strategic plans and provide relevant customer insight.
- Develop Princes category credentials, by being authority in canned goods, shopping, and consumption habits.
- Develop strong customer relationships across commercial, marketing and RGM teams.
- Analyse market and customer data to provide meaningful reports and analysis, which drive strategic recommendations, both for internal & external customers.
- Monitor, report and record in market activity such as store surveys and promotion tracking.
- Be the key internal category contact for the category's allocated and to become the expert in data and shopper analysis.
- Experience of category management having worked with UK major multiples.
- Extensive experience of using Kantar & IRI data sources, fully competent in manipulating their data software.
- Analytical with strong excel skills, can turn data into meaningful strategic insight.
- Ability to use data and insight from a number of different data sources to produce meaningful analysis and recommendations.
- Ability to communicate to a number of different internal and external stakeholders.
- Persuasive, articulate and astute.
