Category Manager - Cloud & Information Security Procurement

Description

As the Category Manager for the Cloud & InfoSec categories, you will be responsible for supporting WTW across the business for all procurement aligned to cyber security and Cloud operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies related to end user & collaboration services. Knowledge of how global software and licensing works, and experience/background specifically in information security or cloud migration, are essential to meet the business and stakeholder needs. A strong knowledge of wider major Technology providers is also desirable.

You must have experience in building and maintaining key business stakeholder relationships within the category and serve as a trusted advisor and partner for them on information security and cloud maturity matters for WTW. The Category Manager for Cloud & InfoSec will support the Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement with relevant category planning for the business.

The successful candidate will have a creative and positive approach to problem solving and a strong collaborative approach with other team members and stakeholders. A strong, analytical mindset with a meticulous approach to reporting and a willingness to learn and develop will be key to success in this role.

The scope of the role also requires you to create and maintain up-to-date category plans and provide key monthly and ad hoc reporting as required by your line manager. You will also work closely with the Procurement operations and analytics teams to review and access spend data and trends. Experience in negotiating large projects is desirable. This role requires the ability to manage multiple large and complex projects simultaneously and is suited for those with a 'get it done' mentality.

The Role:

1. Management of procurement activities including sourcing, commercial negotiations, and project management for Cloud & InfoSec to mitigate risks and achieve financial outcomes.
2. Accountable for management and delivery of projects including renewals, consolidations, and other sourcing activities.
3. Provide guidance and manage escalations on these efforts.
4. Maintain relationships with colleagues on the Category Management team, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
5. Prioritize the interests of WTW, clients, and integrity in all business dealings.
6. Leverage vendor relationships through negotiation to secure best-in-class products/services while reducing total cost of ownership, with a proven track record of year-on-year delivery.
7. Provide leadership for high-profile sourcing initiatives as required.

Qualifications

The Requirements:

• Strong work experience in technology procurement
• Knowledge and experience in Cloud computing procurement
• Knowledge and experience in procurement of cyber security software and related products
• Experience in supplier negotiations
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creativity in seeking and encouraging non-traditional procurement approaches
• Change management and self-awareness skills to adapt to a dynamic stakeholder environment
• Ability to articulate procurement's value as a business partner
• Knowledge of complex sourcing principles and best practices
• Industry procurement knowledge
• Legal contract knowledge and negotiation experience
• Familiarity with legislative, regulatory, and industry standards, and understanding of contractual terms to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance
