Location and Flexibility

Roles are preferably based in Birmingham, Bristol, Oxford, Manchester, or Peterborough, with flexibility to work across other regional offices including Derby, Epsom, Glasgow, London, and Swansea. We support flexible working arrangements, including home working, part-time roles, and flexible hours, to promote work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  1. Support catchment science projects focusing on river and wetland function, WFD compliance, habitat design, management, restoration, Biodiversity Net Gain, river realignment, and environmental assessments/EIA.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external project teams to deliver optimal environmental solutions.
  3. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, providing integrated services to clients.
  4. Maintain a flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach, capable of working independently and in a commercial environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in a relevant discipline with postgraduate qualification, focusing on Water/Catchment Management/River processes.
  • Experience in environmental surveys related to rivers, wetlands, and catchment systems.
  • Ability to conduct thorough technical investigations and present findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Proficiency in report writing, IT, and relevant software.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with GIS, Excel, VBA, Python, and data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of WFD and Biodiversity Net Gain principles.
  • MoRPh Pro Accreditation.
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel.
