Cash in Transit Officer

Location: Washington, NE37 1EX

Salary: £35,766.10 per annum

Joining bonus: £1,000 if you hold a valid CVIT SIA licence.

About the Role

As a Cash in Transit Officer, you'll help ensure the safe and secure transport of cash between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. No two shifts are alike - you will switch between driving and courier duties, working solo or alongside a partner to keep operations running smoothly.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work alone or with a partner as a driver or courier.
  • Service ATM machines, ensuring secure transport and deployment of cash.
  • Follow company processes and complete all documentation to meet operational targets.
  • Operate and park company vehicles responsibly, complying with the Highway Code, company policies and health & safety procedures.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient service.
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and the branch management team to address issues or concerns within a reasonable timeframe.
Key Requirements
  • Provide a continuous 10 year employment and education history (any gaps must be covered).
  • Valid full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
  • Valid CVIT SIA licence is desirable; if not held, training will be fully funded.
  • Conscientious driving and full adherence to the Highway Code at all times.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
  • All successful candidates must provide a 10 year traceable work and education history, complete a criminal record and credit background check.

  • £34,556.62 base salary + paid overtime + company bonus scheme.
  • £1,000 joining bonus (paid after probation) if you hold a valid CVIT SIA licence.
  • 45 hour contract with weekend work on rota basis, paid breaks.
  • Shift times between 4:20am and 8:00pm: 11.25hours (4 day) or 9hours (5 day).
  • Annual leave: 26days (4 day pattern) or 32days (5 day pattern).
