Responsibilities

The Torfaen Adult Community Learning team are looking for a conscientious and industrious person to be available to work on a part time basis at any of the three ACL sites in Croesyceiliog, Pontypool and St Dials. As part of the caretaking/cleaning team you will ensure that the establishment is opened and closed at the designated times, in the approved conditions for occupancy, and be responsible for room configuration, general maintenance, security and cleanliness at all times.

The hours of work during the academic term vary between Centres but as a guide are:

  • Week 1 Monday to Friday 6:45 am - 12:45 pm
  • Week 2 Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm - 9:30 pm; Friday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The hours of work during academic holidays vary between Centres but as a guide are:

  • Week 1 Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 1:30 pm
  • Week 2 Monday to Friday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

As part of the Adult Community Learning Service, you will be expected to work as part of the caretaking and cleaning team to cover sickness and holidays as and when required.
