Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Contract: Permanent 52 weeks

As a hands on Caretaker, you will maintain the school's physical environment, ensuring safety, security, and readiness for learning. This role supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, and directly impacts their daily experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks.
• Conduct safety checks and complete risk assessments.
• Manage site security, including opening and locking the school.
• Ensure classrooms, equipment and shared spaces are ready for learning.
• Support school improvement projects and development work.
• Provide a reassuring, reliable presence for pupils and staff.

What you'll bring

• Experience or skill in maintenance, DIY or site management.
• Organised, efficient and able to work at pace.
• Safety conscious with good attention to detail.
• Practical, reliable and eager to get involved.
• Motivated by making a positive difference.
• Driving licence required.

Experience in a school or SEN environment is desirable, but not essential.
