We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Careers Leader to lead and develop our careers provision for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring learners receive high-quality careers education, information, advice and guidance that supports them to achieve positive outcomes and successful transitions into adulthood.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the college's careers strategy, ensuring compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks and statutory guidance, and embedding careers education across the learner journey. Working closely with curriculum teams, job coaches, employers, families and external agencies, you will create opportunities that raise aspirations and help learners progress towards employment, further education, supported internships and other meaningful destinations.
QualificationsYou have experience within SEND, education, careers guidance or employability services and ideally hold a recognised Level 6 or Level 7 Careers Guidance qualification. A strong understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to build effective partnerships are essential. Knowledge of supported employment models and experience of employer engagement would be advantageous.
