Applicants are invited to apply for a one year fixed term role (with likely extension) as Cardiac Lead for the South West Maternal Medicine Network.

The role is suitable for an applicant with a CCT in obstetrics who has a strong interest in the care of cardiology patients.

It offers a 1PAs and commences in March 2026 for an initial 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership in cardiology maternal medicine, including education and care plans.
• Liaise with SWMMN obstetric, medical, anaesthetic, midwifery, cardiology and governance leads regarding cardiology patients and care plans.
• Attend Cardiovascular MDT to discuss cardiology patient care plans as required.

Qualifications

• Clinical Certificate of Training (CCT) in obstetrics.
• Strong interest and experience in cardiovascular care within a maternal setting.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
