About The Role

Days of Working: Monday to Friday

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Capital Projects Procurement Managerwith a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) procurement to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of M&E materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to support construction and building services projects. Reporting to the Head of Procurement Hard services you will have the opportunity to create the structure of the team to deliver success. Working closely with Operations and the extended business to align on priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage 4 technical buyers and 3 supply chain cost leads
  • Own the procurement strategy of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, to budget, and to specification.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, tender documents, and evaluate supplier responses.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to forecast material requirements and align procurement schedules.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and new products to inform procurement strategy.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive value engineering within the M&E supply chain.
  • Ensure all procurement activity supports sustainability goals and corporate responsibility standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure transparency across purchasing processes.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Managing a team
  • Proven experience in Procurement with a bias to the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and contract management skills.
  • Experience working with NEC, JCT, or similar contract forms.
  • Proficient in procurement and project management software (e.g., Dynamics 365, Coupa and similar)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous Experience in Project or Construction procurement, technical background is advantageous.
