Capital Actuary / Capital Manager

Bermuda

Hybrid, two days in office

Permanent / full-time

We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd's, Europe and North America.

We are seeking a Capital Actuary to join our team, reporting to the London-based Head of Capital. This is a high-impact role supporting how the Group reports, manages and optimises capital across Bermuda, US and European regulated entities.

Responsibilities

You will be key to capital modelling and regulatory reporting (BSCR, SCR, RBC), support business planning and strategic transactions, and deliver clear capital insights to senior management and Boards. The role partners closely with Finance, Risk, Reserving, Treasury and M&A teams, contributing directly to capital optimisation, deal structuring and growth initiatives.

Candidate requirements
  • Ideally a fellow of a recognised actuarial body (IFoA, CAS) but capital specialists from a finance background will also be considered
  • 5+ years' non-life/reinsurance experience with strong capital exposure
  • Deep knowledge of Bermuda EBS or Solvency II (BSCR/SCR)
  • Experience with regulatory submissions (QRTs, ORSA/CISSA, FCR/SFCR)
  • Commercially minded, with strong communication and stakeholder skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
