Capital Actuary - Fixed Term Contract

Our client is seeking a qualified actuary to join their Capital Actuarial team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is an excellent career development opportunity for an actuary with a background in GI or Life Reserving and Pricing who is looking to broaden their technical expertise into capital modelling.

Key responsibilities

• Support the production and reporting of capital results and scenarios for the Solvency II Internal Model, including data preparation, results review, management briefings, and regulatory reporting inputs
• Contribute to internal model maintenance and development projects, including annual recalibration, parameter reviews, validation testing, and methodology documentation
• Develop and enhance internal model processes and technical tools, exploring modern technologies for analysis, documentation and parameter calibration
• Assist with regular regulatory processes including Standard Formula calculation, Reinsurance assessments, P&L Attribution, SFCR and ORSA

Requirements

• Qualified actuary with several years of experience, preferably in non-life
• Experience across multiple actuarial functions - reserving, pricing, and/or capital
• Strong knowledge of Solvency II, IFRS 17, capital models (Internal Model and/or Standard Formula), and SII Technical Provisions
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software; knowledge of R, Python, SQL, Databricks or PowerQuery desirable

Salary

Circa €110,000 - €120,000
