An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to join the Cancer Directorate, providing high quality administrative support. Main duties- Support departmental operations by preparing and circulating meeting agendas, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring timely follow up of agreed actions.
- Manage shared inboxes, including coordinating room booking requests.
- Act as a key point of contact for day to day enquiries.
- Process invoices, support the raising of purchase orders, and provide general administrative support across the department to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- This is a hybrid role, incorporating a combination of on site and home working.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience in Customer Service/Business Administration/ITQ in a relevant subject or equivalent previous proven experience.
- Demonstrable level of leadership and administrative experience at a high level of competence.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a small team environment.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment or reception service.
- Secretarial and /or administrative experience including minute taking.
- Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks.
- Working within guidelines.
- Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations.
- Data entry experience and documentation.
- Experience of IT packages - such as MS Co Pilot and Office 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Experience of producing documents to a high standard.
- Adaptable and flexible in their approach to working and able to cope under pressure.
- Proven experience of providing administrative support to senior members of staff.
- Strong administrative management skills including effective communication, team working and negotiation skills.
- Previous experience of working in NHS.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
- Sound knowledge of office procedures.
- Understanding of customer service.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Knowledge of the Trust including awareness of priorities.
- Knowledge of Trust information systems.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Awareness of NHS targets and Trust priorities.
