An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buying Manager to join a leading specialist media agency operating at the forefront of the Out of Home advertising sector.
This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for managing day to day trading, negotiations and commercial delivery across a diverse portfolio of client campaigns. Working closely with planning teams and media owner partners, you'll help secure market leading solutions that maximize value for clients while driving strong commercial outcomes.
The RoleAs Buying Manager, you will oversee trading activity across a portfolio of campaigns, ensuring competitive pricing, effective delivery and strong commercial performance. You'll play a central role within the agency, leveraging market intelligence, industry relationships and analytical insight to identify opportunities, support planning teams and strengthen campaign outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day to day trading and negotiations across a portfolio of client campaigns
- Secure competitive pricing and added value opportunities across media owner partners
- Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, availability and demand to maintain a strong market perspective
- Provide planners with timely market intelligence and commercial insight
- Track spend performance across media owner partners and key commercial metrics
- Produce regular reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
- Monitor and manage earned and utilized value across campaigns and trading partners
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media owners and industry contacts
- Identify innovative solutions and opportunities that deliver additional client value
- Collaborate closely with planning teams to develop commercially robust recommendations
- Ensure accurate administration and processing of campaign bookings
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement of buying processes and operational efficiencies
- Assist in the development and mentoring of junior team members
- Proven experience within media buying, trading or commercial planning
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing positive commercial outcomes
- Excellent understanding of the OOH market and wider media landscape
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data, reporting and performance tracking
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Proactive, solutions focused and commercially minded
- Experience working with buying systems, planning tools and Microsoft Office applications
