Business Systems Lead | CRM, Power BI, SaaS | Bristol, hybrid

£50,000 to £55,000

Hybrid working in Bristol, three days a week in the office if local.

When a system breaks, someone can't get access, or a consultant needs numbers for a pitch by this afternoon, you're who they come to. When something doesn't make sense, you're the one who says so.

Our client is a small, technology-led professional services firm whose consultants spend their days with CEOs and boards. They'll expect the person running their systems and data to hold their own in the room.

The systems are modern and integrated. The reporting refreshes itself. There's no internal IT department, just a managed IT provider for specialist work. Everything else is yours.

You'd be the only person doing this. No systems team, no data team, no weekly brief. You report to the Head of Operations and you're trusted to decide what matters, fix what's broken and push back when something is wrong.

The job

Systems. Users, permissions, access and configuration. Joiners and leavers. The CRM questions nobody else can answer. Holding the managed IT provider to account.

Data. Keeping the Power BI reporting right, tightening data quality, and bringing senior colleagues things they hadn't thought to ask.

Improvement. Automating manual work, and rolling out new software until people actually use it.

What you'll bring

Essential:

• A track record as the lead or sole person for business systems in an organisation, making the call without a team to check with.
• Hands-on administration of users, permissions, configuration and access across SaaS platforms or CRM.
• Supporting colleagues with system, device and access problems, including joiners and leavers.
• Reporting or dashboards, ideally Power BI, including working with incomplete or inconsistent data.
• The confidence to present to senior people, give a straight view and challenge when it's needed.
• Turning practical requests into changes people actually use, with documentation to match.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and business data.
• Existing right to work in the UK.

Useful: Power Automate, Zapier, Make or n8n, AI tools, managing an outsourced IT provider, systems implementation or migration.

Who this suits

You've probably been a Business Systems Manager, IT & Systems Lead or CRM Administrator somewhere small enough that you knew how everything fitted together. You picked up Power BI because someone senior needed numbers. People listened because you'd earned it.

If you're used to a larger team with a clear remit, or you'd rather spend your days in requirements workshops or building dashboards, this isn't it.
