We have an opportunity for a Business Support Assistant, working within The Fostering Business Support Service.
This is a part-time 22-hour permanent position. We are looking for someone to provide a high level of business support administration to our Fostering Teams.
The days of work are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Business Support is key to the success of our Fostering Services, our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for our foster families.
The post holder will be predominantly office based, although some hybrid working is arranged on a rota basis dependent on the demands of the service.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will provide core business functions in addition to working closely with their team including the team manager and social workers. You'll need full knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to utilise the main applications. You'll also chase workers for paperwork to make sure work is completed to the required deadlines. A part of this role is inputting data in our database, sharing data and helping to ensure the database is up to date and ensuring its accurate by cleansing data as and when needed. In addition, there will be the opportunity to support wider more generic office functions to support the delivery of all business support services.
The Ideal CandidateWorking in Business Support requires teamwork, good organisational skills and a good level of competency using IT systems.
Minimum criteria for the role is:
- GCSE English and Maths
- Good communication skills because you'll interact with lots of people across the organisation and externally through phone, in person and email.
- Minute Taking experience is essential
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail, as you'll be keeping data updated and you'll be working to deadlines.
- A flexible approach to work as sometimes things can change, and so you'll need to be able to prioritise work and change tasks quickly.
- A passion to always give the best service.
Although not essential, we would also love you to have:
- NVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent
- Be able to demonstrate 2 years work place administration experience
