Job Description

This is a permanent, full-time vacancy that will close in 3 days at 12:00 BST.

The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Third Party Administration (TPA) team as a Business Unit Support Apprentice. This role offers the chance to develop your administration skills while completing an SCQF Level 6 qualification in Digital Applications.

This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months, with an expected 12 months to complete the qualification. Successful completion may lead to further employment opportunities within our firm.

Role Overview

You will be a key part of our TPA Business Unit, collaborating with colleagues to provide administrative support on various tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting senior colleagues with administrative tasks.
  • Managing our team inbox and highlighting urgent matters.
  • Learning to use our systems, including SharePoint.
  • Supporting with diary management, meeting arrangements, and minute-taking.
  • Ordering documents from external suppliers.
  • Processing expenses, arranging travel, and invoice recording.
  • Working with a mentor to reflect on your development.
  • Adhering to company policies, including Information Security standards.
Ideal Candidate Attributes

We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about starting a career in business administration, self-motivated, detail-oriented, good communicators, and team players. You should be eager to develop your skills and have at least a secondary school education, with a pass in Maths at National 5 level, and basic IT skills or enthusiasm to learn.

Applicants must meet course funding and entry requirements as set by QA. We encourage candidates who may not meet all attributes but are willing to learn and develop with our support.
