Business Studies Teacher

Flourish Education are looking for a Business Teacher to work within a secondary school in Coventry. The position offers the opportunity to teach Business to secondary pupils and become part of a school where staff work together to support students' learning and progress.

The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, taking responsibility for lesson planning, delivery, assessment and marking. You will be expected to create well-structured lessons, manage behaviour effectively and adapt your approach to support students with different levels of ability and prior knowledge.

This Business Teacher position will start in October 2026 and run until July 2027, providing a long-term opportunity within the school.

Job Role

• Teach Business across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and prepare lessons that meet curriculum requirements
• Deliver lessons that develop students' knowledge and understanding of Business
• Assess and mark students' work
• Monitor pupil progress and provide appropriate feedback
• Maintain good classroom management and clear behaviour expectations
• Differentiate lessons where required to support individual learners
• Work effectively with colleagues within the Business department
• Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate

Required Skills and Experience

• Business Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Business ECT or Supply Teacher
• QTS or relevant ECT status
• Strong knowledge of Business as a subject
• Previous experience teaching within a UK secondary school
• Experience teaching across KS3 and/or KS4
• Good classroom and behaviour management
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons independently
• Reliable and professional approach to teaching
• A commitment to helping students make progress
