Business Pricing Analyst (SME) - Contract Opportunity

Location: Dublin (Hybrid Working)
Day Rate: €440 per day
Contract Duration: 6-12 Months
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Business Pricing Analyst to join a leading organisation's Pricing, Trading & Regulation team on a contract basis. This role will support the development, analysis and delivery of pricing solutions across electricity and gas products for SME, medium-sized and large business customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused analyst with strong modelling and data analysis skills to work in a fast-paced environment, influencing pricing decisions and supporting strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business customer pricing activities across electricity and gas products, including tariffs, fixed-price offerings and bespoke commercial proposals.
  • Analyse market data, competitor pricing, forecast assumptions and pricing inputs to support accurate and competitive pricing decisions.
  • Maintain, enhance and develop pricing models, tools and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across commercial, forecasting, reporting and customer teams to support pricing changes and product development initiatives.
  • Produce and maintain pricing reports, dashboards and tariff documentation.
  • Support monthly pricing activities for large energy users and customer billing requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, increase efficiency and reduce operational complexity.
  • Assist with business cases, commercial analysis and pricing recommendations.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong analytical and numerical capability with experience interpreting complex datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including modelling and VBA.
  • Experience using Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
  • Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, pricing models and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within energy, utilities, telecommunications, financial services or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Knowledge of tariff pricing structures.
  • Understanding of wholesale and retail energy markets.
  • Experience supporting commercial pricing, forecasting or revenue management functions.
