The main purpose of the Business Partner is to help Partners accelerate up the learning curve. This is a pivotal role that is the primary point of contact between SJP and Partners who have recently exited The Academy but have yet to become "established". The role involves the support and guidance of Partners in developing their knowledge, advice processes, business skills and their Practices in line with corporate and regulatory guidelines.

Its aim is to encourage Partners to adopt the appropriate strategy, operational activity and best practice leading to business growth and longevity. They must also ensure the achievement of their key objectives. The job holder is expected to conduct regular robust, in-depth, analytical reviews of the Partners' business throughout the year and to provide any relevant development and coaching required

What you'll be doing:
  • Execute Partner service and engagement strategy for the Early Years segment in alignment with overall SJP Partner "offer"
  • Implement the "model office(s)" for Early Years practices
  • Drive performance in the segment through skills and knowledge
  • Communicate the performance framework, expectations, metrics tracking and execute performance management
  • Coach, mentor, develop, support and lead new Partners.
  • Manage commercial Performance of Early Years Partner businesses in support of the Adviser Performance Strategic Initiative.
  • Drive profitable consolidation and growth opportunities working with other divisions
  • Ensure Partner sentiment targets are met based on service / engagement
  • Review, measure and assess the tangible ROI of each Partner business, identifying and delivering improvements to the ROI.
Skills we are looking for:
  • Skilled coach with Certificate in Advanced Coaching and Mentoring or equivalent experience - (if they have experience but not the certificate that's fine) you need to demonstrate experience of this
  • Experience of managing the output and performance of Financial Advisers in line with our values and principles of treating our clients fairly (being both our internal (Partner) clients and external clients).
  • Understands the UK Financial Services Market and can deploy their experience to understanding Partner needs and apply the SJP Proposition to support them to become established businesses
  • Ability to understand Partner development needs, their motivations and how to use KPI's to influence the progress of a Partners business
  • Know how to build great rapport and strong relationships that are collaborative and deliver great outcomes
  • Is a proven team player and understands the power of collective thinking and support
