Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail: you're a whiz with Excel and would be able to use your analytical skills and data insights to analyse the performance of our business both historically and into the future.
  • Proactivity, pragmatism and great communication skills: you're a self-starter who is able to communicate complex concepts clearly to a range of different audiences, distilling the key points and actions to build momentum.
  • You balance high standards with a pragmatic approach to making progress in the most efficient way.
  • Commercial mindset: you're able to carry out high fidelity commercial diligence on new models, projects and initiatives; you can also deliver clarity and actionable insights into the drivers of all aspects of our current performance.
  • Relationship building and a collaborative approach: you have the ability to build relationships with a range of different people, building trust easily and establishing Business Operations as an enabler of strategic decision making across different teams.
  • You're incredibly organised and well structured: you're able to introduce systems and processes that prepare Avant Arte's operations for our next stage of growth.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a strategic or commercial role (e.g., strategy or management consulting at a top-tier firm, or in business operations at a fast-growth startup).
  • Experience working for a fast-growing startup or online marketplace would be a plus.
  • A strong desire to roll up your sleeves and make an impact.
What the job involves
  • We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Business Operations Manager.
  • We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved, but the core of your role will involve:
  • Commercial analysis, data & reporting: Leading on commercial analysis, modelling and diligence of new business models and opportunities plus internal & external monitoring and reporting of business metrics and performance.
  • Cross-functional operations: Working closely with teams across the business to help build the operational foundations for their teams, solve business challenges and implement new tools, processes and ways of working.
  • Internal operations: Leading and supporting the effective running of our day-to-day core business rhythms, processes and operations while continuously optimising and improving these to support Avant Arte's growth, making sure we stay ahead of our stage across:
  • Internal trackers, tools, communication systems & presentations.
  • Business cadences & operational rhythms.
  • Strategy & objectives setting (quarterly OKRs).
  • Elements of legal & compliance (working closely with Finance).
  • Growth initiatives & special projects: Supporting on key growth initiatives & special projects in line with Avant Arte's growth ambitions & business priorities, such as:
  • M&A opportunities.
  • Scoping and managing margin improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting and managing various growth initiatives across the business.
