Job Description

What we do

The core business of VPS Digital & Decarbonisation's activities is to provide our clients with unique insights to reduce their operational footprint. With our flagship Maress and PortStats apps, we provide data analytics and visualisation services used by some of the most advanced players in the maritime industry to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable energy future. We call it data-driven decarbonisation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The maritime industry is changing rapidly, and in this context, we see great interest in our services to optimise bunker fuel procurement and reduce emissions. We are experiencing good growth, and with that growth comes the business need to continue developing our product portfolio, both internally and externally. To continue driving our product roadmap for our flagship PortStats platform (built on Qlik Cloud), we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Qlik Cloud BI Developer. In this role, you will be at the heart of our digital solutions, architecting, integrating and implementing robust data and BI solutions that power our customer-facing applications. If this sounds exciting and is something you can deliver, we would love to hear from you.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver the product roadmap goals for the VPS PortStats platform, the world's leading digital platform for marine fuel and lube oil analytics, built with Qlik Cloud.

Cooperate with the VPS BI team to propose and implement new PortStats features based on the possibilities of Qlik Cloud (e.g. Qlik Answers, Qlik AutoML, notifications, workflow and process automation).

Actively working together with the BI team to develop new dashboards and other data services, for both internal and external clients.

Work with our commercial team to increase the number of subscribers for the VPS PortStats platform by innovating new features and by bringing these to the attention of (potential) customers by means of online demonstrations and/or webinars. Includes onboarding of new subscribers with (online) training sessions.

Cooperate with our Data Engineering teams across the VPS organisation to deliver our integrated and unified data lake, making all our internal and external data sources available in a unified and harmonised manner (single source of truth).

Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand customer requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.

Function as an interface between the VPS business, our Digital & Decarbonisation division and the Group IT department, ensuring seamless transitions from development to support operations. Stay updated on new technologies, trends, and best practices in BI and Qlik and translate to how these could be utilised in VPS' best interest.

Ca. 5 years of experience in IT or BI

Strong, demonstrable experience with QlikView, Qlik Sense and/or Qlik Cloud is required for this role.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing methodologies, and agile development methodologies.
