Job Description

GCHQ is a key partner organisation within the National Cyber Force (NCF). This is an exciting time to join our new NCF headquarters and play a key role in supporting its establishment. You'll collaborate with a wide range of teams and ensure people have the resources they need to do their jobs successfully.

Depending on your role, your responsibilities could include supporting the onboarding process for new staff, assisting with event organisation, and trialling and refining new business processes. You might be monitoring and actioning requests, overseeing fleet vehicle management, or reviewing financial expenditure. Whatever your task, you'll take a proactive approach to embedding new ways of working and play a key role in establishing our new HQ.

Upon joining, you'll receive an induction to GCHQ and the NCF, as well as training and further opportunities for learning and development relevant to your role and interests.

Ours is an open, inclusive workplace where you'll find a range of sport, interest, and social clubs, as well as a number of growing affinity groups including ethnic minority and gender equality networks, wellbeing, mental health, neurodiversity and disability groups, LGBTQ+ support groups, and faith/no faith communities.

At GCHQ, diversity and inclusion are critical to our mission. To protect the UK, we need a truly diverse workforce that reflects the society we serve. This includes diversity in every sense of the word: those with different backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, ways of thinking, and those with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions. We welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including groups under-represented in our workforce such as women, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and those from low socio-economic backgrounds.

Find out more about our culture, working environment, and diversity on our website.

Full-time and part-time hours are available. Full-time roles are based on 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility around start and finish times. Part-time roles are based on a minimum of 3 days per week. Compressed and flexible hours are also possible. This role requires spending a minimum of 60% of your time in the office.

What we are looking for

No degree or specific experience is required to apply, but you should have GCSEs in Maths and English Language at minimum Grade 4/C or above. You should be confident using Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Whether you are a recent graduate or seeking a career change, we welcome all types of applicants.

To be eligible, you must be a British Citizen. If you hold dual nationality, of which one is British, you will still be considered. Candidates must usually have been resident in the UK for seven out of the last ten years. You can apply at age 17; however, your start date will not be before your 18th birthday. Full eligibility details are available on our website.
