Product Life Group (PLG) is a global leader in consulting and outsourcing services for Product Development, Regulatory, Life Cycle Maintenance, and Market Access, and we are looking for a Business Development Manager in the UK to expand our business.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development:
- Develop and implement a Business Development Strategy and Plan for the UK. Maintain, monitor, and achieve its targets.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
- Secure large, multi-year contracts for outsourced product development services, regulatory affairs, lifecycle regulatory maintenance, and market access consulting.
- Work closely with PLG's subject matter experts (SMEs) to design tailored solutions that address client challenges.
- Leverage cross-selling opportunities across PLG's service portfolio to maximize client value.
- Develop competitive pricing models and contract structures that support multi-year engagements.
- Conduct telephone prospecting to develop the customer portfolio.
- Participate in Bid Defense requested by prospects.
- Prepare responses to RFPs and tariff proposals.
- Monitor and analyze competition.
Promotional Missions:
- Promote the company through various channels.
- Represent the company at relevant events.
- Increase visibility of PLG services.
Client Relationship Management & Industry Engagement:
- Provide exhaustive and continuous information to the sales department's CRM.
- Monitor performance indicators and present them to management.
- Participate in drafting quality provisions.
- Cultivate relationships with C-suite executives, Heads of R&D, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Market Access at global pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or Health Economics.
- 5-10years of business development, sales, or strategic account management experience within consulting, outsourcing, or technology-enabled services in life sciences.
- Deep expertise in drug development, regulatory life cycle management, and market access, with a strong understanding of global requirements (FDA, EMA, MHRA, PMDA, etc.).
- Proven track record of closing large-scale, multi-year contracts for product development and life cycle maintenance services.
- Established network of decision-makers in pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies.
- Experience in complex deal structuring, contract negotiations, and RFP processes for drug development, regulatory, and market access projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to influence senior executives.
