Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Services Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our AWS Services team. The role involves driving AWS Professional Services and Managed Services sales through various channels, including vendors, partners, and end-customers. The ideal candidate will have strong sales and relationship management skills, with a solid understanding of Cloud services and their application in business transformation. A proven track record in sales and acquiring new clients, with at least two years in a similar role, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall AWS market and technical strategy as a key member of the Business Development team.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with AWS's direction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (service, legal, support) to execute plans.
  • Identify prospects and partners, presenting technical value propositions for AWS services.
  • Educate and enable prospects to utilize AWS APIs for their business growth.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and customers.
  • Support customers in successfully using AWS web services, providing necessary technical resources.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with the development team to influence product offerings.
  • Utilize and other internal systems effectively.
  • Present business reviews to senior management on progress and challenges.
  • Manage complex contract negotiations and liaise with legal teams.
  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships in key markets.
  • Respond to and qualify incoming AWS inquiries as potential business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Highly technical and analytical mindset.
  • 5-7 years of partner/business development experience.
  • Experience in the software development industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical degree required.
  • Knowledge of web services technology, development tools, and related technologies is highly desirable.
