Job Description

- Location: Field-based nationally (flexible home base; daily travel to client sites, projects, and practices required)
This is a hybrid, field-based role combining business development and project management. You will grow the company's presence with clients, architects, and engineers while ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish. You will spend most of your time visiting active sites and client offices. An Operations Support Coordinator (OSC) will back you up from the office with CRM updates, tracking snag lists, and following up on quotes.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, and design teams.
- Deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) presentations to position the brand as a trusted supplier.
- Target new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical and data centre construction sectors.
- Track a live sales pipeline using the company CRM system.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, active projects, and industry trends.
- Follow up on open quotations to secure new orders.
- Manage client communication through every stage of the project lifecycle.
- Resolve snag lists quickly and secure formal client sign-off upon completion.
- Monitor project timelines and flag delays early, working closely with the internal support coordinator.
- Find, vet, and onboard reliable installers to maintain high workmanship standards.
- Provide simple, regular progress reports on sales and project milestones.
- Proven background in client-facing sales, business development, or account management within construction, building products, or a technical sector.
- Experience managing projects or coordinating site-based work to final completion.
- Confident public speaker, able to deliver professional CPD presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with clients, contractors, and installers.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy travel schedule.
- Full, clean driving licence and readiness for national travel.
- Comfortable using CRM software and writing regular progress reports.
- Existing network of contacts in the pharma or data centre construction sectors.
- Knowledge of compliance standards for fire doors, ironmongery, or general building products.
- Experience managing subcontractor installation teams.
