Are you a new business hunter looking to be part of a growing name within the beauty industry?
As the first Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business acquisition and revenue growth. Being one of the first members of the sales team, you'll manage the full sales cycle-from prospecting to closing-and build a strong pipeline of qualified leads across salons, aesthetics clinics, wellness studios, and independent beauty brands.
What will I be selling?
You will work closely with the CEO & Director of Technology to develop the company's sales strategy. Although not a tech company per se, it has developed a SaaS product capable of being white-labelled and sold across the industry.
This is an early-stage role. While sales experience within the industry isn't required, experience with full technology sales cycles is essential, with the ability to sell as you see fit. The first year will focus on lead generation, with bonuses linked to this and sales cycles. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career, grow a sales function, and aim for a future role as Sales Director.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to deal closure.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified small to medium-sized beauty businesses.
- Understand customer pain points and articulate how our solution meets their needs.
- Deliver engaging product demos and onboarding sessions to prospective clients.
- Support the creation of marketing and sales enablement materials.
- Provide feedback and insights from customers to inform product and business strategy.
- Represent the company at relevant industry events, webinars, and meetups as required.
Key requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within a SaaS or tech environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised with excellent pipeline and CRM management.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable operating in a start-up or scale-up environment with shifting priorities.
- Results-oriented, focused on growth and performance.
