Job Description
Heat Merchants Group trades in 42 outlets around Ireland under the Heat Merchants and Tubs & Tiles brands, supported by a central warehouse in Athlone and service hubs in Athlone and Balbriggan.
Business Development Manager - Dublin Region
Key Responsibilities- Build and develop relationships with existing customers.
- Proactively develop new business relationships with builders, plumbers, M&E consultants and contractors to sell a wide range of commercial heating and plumbing solutions.
- Negotiate prices with customers while meeting agreed sales and margin targets.
- Produce quotations and follow up on all leads.
- Prepare technical submittals and specifications for consultant engineers.
- Manage and track project pipeline, reporting monthly.
- Maintain and update CRM systems daily.
- Work within a motivated sales and technical team and on own initiative.
- Liaise and support the local branch network to maximise service and closeness to customers.
- Keep abreast of new products, building regulation changes and industry standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by management.
The successful candidate must have:
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and delivering results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- PC literacy.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full valid driver's licence.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Engineering.
- Experience delivering technical presentations to consultants and M&E contractors.
- Previous experience selling commercial heating products such as water heaters, commercial boilers, radiators, renewables, pumps, etc.
- In depth knowledge of the Irish Building Services industry.

Office location: The Heat Merchants Sales Team office is located in our Naas branch, where all Business Development Managers are required to attend as necessary.
