Salary: A competitive salary from £57,600 - £86,400 depending on the experience you can bring

Aegon UK's Transformation department leads the delivery of strategic change across the organisation, managing the UK change portfolio and evolving the Change Management framework. Business Analysis is a core capability within Transformation, translating business needs into actionable requirements and processes and guiding technology solutions, ensuring outcomes deliver real value.

As a Business Analyst Lead role your role will combine senior-level business analysis with a considerable focus on line management and practice leadership. You will continue to lead complex analysis activities across strategic programmes or Value Streams, while also being accountable for managing a team of Business Analysts and driving the development of the business analysis practice.

This is a leadership role, responsible for defining and maintaining analysis standards, frameworks, and methodologies that ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment across the transformation portfolio. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of business analysis within Aegon UK, fostering capability uplift, and embedding best practice.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and managing a team of Business Analysts, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations, coaching and mentoring analysts to deepen business knowledge and analytical capability.
  • Driving continuous improvement in analysis practices, tooling, and methodology across the transformation portfolio.
  • Allocating resources effectively, balancing skills, capacity, and development needs.
  • Reviewing and assuring quality of analysis deliverables, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Leading complex, cross-functional analysis initiatives aligned to business goals and regulatory frameworks.
  • Engaging senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and ensure clarity of objectives.
  • Translating strategic objectives into actionable insight for the BA team, fostering alignment and understanding.
Desired qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, with a strong track record of leading complex initiatives.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, including coaching and capability development.
  • Expertise in defining and applying analysis frameworks and methodologies across change portfolios.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience with senior leadership.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial awareness, with the ability to align analysis to business goals.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate insights into business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.

We're serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we'll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we'll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that's 7% from you and 13% from us).
