Salary: £41,000 - £52,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. Plus London Weighting Allowance £5,319. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location - London, TVC, This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

ABOUT THE TEAMThe BBC Studios Technology Transformation Group are a team that focus on transformation, delivery and change across the BBC Studios value chain. We work closely with all product groups to produce a co-ordinated pipeline for Technology.
We focus on three main areas:
Deliver solutions to support new business needs crucial for business continuity
Transformation activities focusing on specific growth initiatives for the business
Identify opportunities for change, aligning these with technology initiatives.
This role will report to the Lead Business Analyst within the Technology Transformation group, the Business Analyst role has a focus on delivering improved business processes and values to some of our many global consumer teams. The role will be responsible for interpreting and analysing research information and data to gain business insight and inform sound decisions.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to gain a good understanding of current business processes and systems, documenting process models and task analysis to pinpoint opportunities for improvement. Be able to demonstrate fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and key contacts, ensuring effective knowledge-sharing of business systems and domain expertise.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and drivers and confirming objectives and priorities.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of current business processes and systems by conducting detailed process mapping using BPMN and task analysis to uncover opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency gains.
- Creating the plan and structure to elicit any requirements gathering ensuring all requirements are valid and traceable, contributing to a business case and solution delivery.
- Demonstrating strong communication skills to adapt messaging appropriately, ensuring processes, needs, approaches, and outcomes are clearly understood.
- Deliver documentation to enable set up, training, support, and operation of software solutions, managing handover to business-as-usual functions in accordance with agreed change and release management processes.
Key Criteria
- Comprehensive knowledge of business and data analysis tools and techniques such as requirements engineering, structured analysis and design, and process mapping using BPMN.
- Business and data analysis experience.
- Experience working with business analysis techniques where appropriate and relevant to delivery scope drawing on applied expertise.
- Degree in Business Management, Enterprise IT, other relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) Level 1 and/or Certificate of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) Level 2 or equivalent experience.
- British Computer Society Certified Business Analysis Professional (BCS CBAP) or equivalent formal qualification in business analysis.
- Previous experience gained within a media or similar multi-national organisation.
- Workshop design and facilitation.
- Commercial focus, proven influencing, negotiation, and conflict management skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Good understanding to be a Subject Matter Expert in a technology area.
