OverviewProdigious UK, part of the wider Publicis Groupe, is looking for an experienced Business Affairs Manager to join us at 'CaST'.
The Business Affairs Manager is a key position in providing the EMEA team production team with origination and adaptation support. This is a crucial function for the business and involves managing an extremely busy content pipeline where production governance and attention to detail are essential for success.
Responsibilities- Build and develop successful relationships with the entire CaST team; primarily focused on Producers, Finance and Hub colleagues.
- Manage BA process throughout the entire advertising lifecycle from early creative ballparking through to production itself and the adaptation pipeline for local markets
- Work closely with producers to advise on legal, contractual, and commercial implications of creative concepts and production approaches
- Advise and guide producers on production risk management and insurance related matters for each project
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of contracts, including production agreements, licensing agreements, vendor agreements, and talent contracts
- Collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to address contractual challenges and ensure compliance
- Manage supplier relationships, vetting potential vendors against client and company requirements particularly with regard to our automated ecosystem
- Secure licenses and manage usage rights for intellectual property (e.g., music, characters, stock footage) incorporated into advertising campaign
- Manage set brands across our client account and be the designated point of contact for checking local adaptation request
- Work with Hub colleagues and provide an efficient rights management service; responding to checks on origination projects quickly and efficiently
- Previous experience of Business Affairs ideally from the advertising sector; a creative or production agency background is preferred.
- Attention to detail is second nature; extremely well organised with an understanding of the importance of accuracy in this field.
- Strong knowledge of contracting, IP rights and how to coordinate and track the process at scale.
- Effective influencing/negotiation skills in order to gain competitive quotes for client and provide value for money.
- Project management experience involving numerous complex projects across different time zones with a wide variety of professional relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately to a range of stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable making decisions based on the information 'at hand' and justifying these conscientiously and resolutely.
- A team player that is keen to try a 'hands-on' role in an expanding organisation and experience different facets of the business.
