Role Overview

As a Building Surveyor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and applying for planning and building regulation approvals.
  • Crafting specifications for tenders, analyzing tenders, and issuing reports.
  • Supporting roles under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 (contract administration experience is highly desirable).
  • Managing projects including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates.
  • Assisting with contract administration under various JCT Contracts.
  • Conducting inspections to diagnose defects and recommend remedial work.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a consultant building surveyor.
  • Knowledge of materials and construction types.
  • Experience in preparing specifications and schedules of works.
  • Understanding of planning and building regulation processes.
  • Site inspection experience.
  • Confidence in client and stakeholder meetings.
  • Ability to produce detailed reports independently.
  • Party wall services experience is advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • MRICS qualification or near completion.
