Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 37 Hours per week

Worker Type: Mobile Worker with expectation of office attendance at least one day a week.

Salary: Starting Salary is £40,777 (Level one) rising to £44,075 per annum (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

About the Role

As a Building Control Officer, you will assess applications, conduct site inspections and provide practical, professional advice to customers and stakeholders. You will work on a varied portfolio of projects across Nottingham, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant and fit for use.

Supported by an experienced & collaborative team, you will have opportunities to broaden your experience, maintain and develop your competencies, and work alongside Principal Surveyors and Managers.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Building Inspector capability at Class 2A level (or working towards/eligible for 2A registration) with sound knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Commitment to excellent customer service and enthusiasm for promoting and developing Building Control services in a competitive environment
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake site inspections and attend meetings as required.
