Facilities include a fitness room, guest laundry, The Pantry shop, business centre, meeting space, and social areas that foster a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere in the heart of Birmingham.
Position Details- Position: Breakfast Service Assistant
- Contract: Flexible Contract
- Hours: 18 hours per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours when available
- Shifts: 06:00 - 13:00, 06:30 - 13:30, or 07:00 - 14:00, depending on business needs
- Pay: £13.21 per hour
- Location: Staybridge Suites Birmingham
As a Breakfast Service Assistant at Staybridge Suites Birmingham, you will:
- Oversee and maintain the breakfast service area.
- Replenish buffet items to ensure availability and presentation standards.
- Assist guests with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Carry out pot washing and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment.
- Prepare food items for the following day.
- Cook and present breakfast items as required.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen and breakfast service areas to a high standard.
- Receive and properly store deliveries.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, fire safety, and health and safety legislation at all times.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks during a busy breakfast service, ensuring the buffet is well stocked, the area is clean, and guest requests are handled efficiently.
- Attention to detail, ensuring food presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained, and all tasks are completed accurately.
- Basic technical awareness, including the ability to follow kitchen procedures, use equipment safely, and adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Flexibility to work across seven days, including early morning shifts, in line with business needs.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and support the smooth running of the breakfast service.
- A team-first attitude, with the willingness to support colleagues across the kitchen and service areas when needed.
- Confidence to assist guests with enquiries and resolve minor issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
