About the Role

We are seeking a BrandsNew and Small Supplier Lead to spearhead the strategic development of our small supplier strategy. The role serves as the central hub for the BrandsNew programme, translating commercial strategy into impactful market beating plans.

Salary: £68,900.00 - £105,200.00

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Bracknell Campus, Doncastle Road, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 8YA

Hybrid work: 3 days in office and remaining days remote

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the strategic development and implementation of the Small Supplier strategy.
  • Ensure a differentiated, high quality experience and customer journey for target customers, adding sustainable value.
  • Accountable for the BrandsNew programme.
  • Translate Commercial Strategy into a month plan, supported by Trading or Category Managers.
  • Work with Local, Regional and Small Supplier Managers and the trading team to find, nurture and grow market leading branded innovation and manage the minimal credible range for regional speciality products.
  • Lead and influence cross functional experts (internal and external) to deliver, run and develop the plan and achieve market beating performance.
  • Serve as the central hub of activity: set direction, foster communication and balance competing priorities.
  • Monitor performance and feedback, identifying root causes of successes and challenges.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to keep ahead of the market.
  • Lead the response to ensure continuous success of the proposition.
  • Manage commercial performance across BrandsNew suppliers and Local & Regional assortment.
  • Apply understanding of commercial and operational levers to maximise delivery whilst driving end to end efficiency.
  • Manage a Level6 Local, Regional and Small Supplier Manager; coach and develop partners to achieve their potential.

  • Commercial management
  • Strategic thinker capable of delivering against a month horizon
  • GSCoP expert
  • Evidence of launching recent high performing grocery customer propositions
  • Strong stakeholder management, ability to inspire and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with knowledge of relevant levers
  • Prior experience leading cross functional projects and matrix managing stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial approach with a continuous improvement mindset
