Billing Specialist - AR Healthcare (Charge Capture)

The Finance Operations organization collaborates across Amazon to provide operational accounting and excellence services with high controllership at minimal cost. We support systems and processes that ensure accurate payments to suppliers, invoicing customers, and financial reporting. Amazon is expanding its Healthcare Finance Operations Services to build capabilities in the healthcare industry.

As part of the Amazon Healthcare Global Finance Operations Services team, you will work with talented professionals dedicated to financial improvement, scalability, and process excellence. To support Amazon Healthcare's growth, we seek Charge Capture Specialists for the Revenue Cycle team.

The Charge Capture Specialist is responsible for claim submission, system coding edits, reconciliation of billing tickets, and maintaining spreadsheets. This role requires communication with facilities, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy, speed, and computer skills.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Ensure accurate and timely charge entry and claim submission, meeting daily goals.
  2. Maintain service line agreements and accuracy standards.
  3. Resolve Local Edit Errors requiring claim corrections.
  4. Address Missing Encounters where billing tickets are absent for checked-out appointments.
  5. Handle Orphaned Orders fulfilled without billing tickets.
  6. Troubleshoot and escalate system issues as needed.
  7. Identify operational opportunities, analyze, recommend, and collaborate on improvements.
  8. Review and suggest updates to policies and procedures for AR processes.
  9. Act as the Voice of the Customer by reporting improvement areas.
  10. Contribute to training materials and quality assurance programs.
  11. Adhere to productivity standards set by leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce (B. Com).
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years in finance operations, accounts payable, receivables, or general ledger roles.
