About the Team and RoleYou will be an experienced Bid Manager who will be key in contributing to the success of the business through successful management of the Bid Team to deliver timely and quality completion of procurement-led new business opportunities.
The role is responsible for ensuring all bids are completed to the highest possible standard and within required deadlines, liaising with colleagues across the business to develop and maintain a library of quality content, and working from provided feedback to identify opportunities for continual improvement.

What you'll do: Key responsibilities- Work with the Bid Team and Client Liaison Team to ensure that tender responses consistently meet best practice and attract the highest scores for vulnerability, customer service and social value responses.
- Design Social and Added Value solutions that win bids, are cost effective, and can be easily replicated across our client base. Deliver proposals to decision makers to secure financial commitment from the business.
- Complete regular internal and external reporting and MI, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data.
- Maintain knowledge of and relationships with relevant framework providers. Ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant procurement legislation.
- Line management duties for the Bid Team, including performance management, training, absence management etc.
- Read bid documentation to identify key information to support in the preparation of a winning bid and alert stakeholders to non-standard service requirements.
- Organise and attend bid preparation meetings with related personnel to identify win themes, key background information, risks and opportunities ahead of bid completion.
- Review and edit bids, proposals, expressions of interest, presentations, and prequalification questionnaires to ensure they meet the specification required.
- Liaise with stakeholders across a range of functions, roles and levels to ensure bid information is correct, current, and demonstrative of the best our business can offer.
- Review tender feedback and communicate decisions to the wider business, utilising feedback to identify areas for continual improvement and implementing improvements in collaboration with the bid team.
- Stay current with service innovations and proof points around their impact to develop new content and changes to existing to keep bid materials fresh and relevant.
- Excellent experience in managing a small team confidentially to meet competing non-negotiable deadlines.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of the bid landscape, particularly with relation to Central and Local Government procurement.
- Comprehensive understanding of Added and Social Value.
- Strong analytical reading skills to identify key information, requirements and potential win themes.
- High attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively to edit and improve written documentation.
