Job Overview

The Double Eagle serves players and members of The Chautauqua Golf Club by providing snacks, lunch, and a full-service bar in the air-conditioned clubhouse, under a covered patio and around the greens on our mobile beverage cart.

Compensation

Base pay $10.70 per hour plus tipped earnings. Employees scheduled 20% or more of shift in non tipped capacity, or who attend required events, or whose combined tipped income does not average minimum wage, will receive a minimum wage of $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate beverage cart while serving golfers around the green course.
  • Maintain a well stocked beverage cart.
  • Know beer, wine, and liquor.
  • Understand New York State liquor laws.
  • Track sales and maintain a cash bank.
Referral Program

Chautauqua Institution's Referral Bonus Program provides a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees who refer a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90 days from start date. For seasonal positions less than 6 months, the new candidate must remain employed for at least 30 days from first date of work and until the closing date of the season (last Sunday in August).

Schedule

Seasonal employment during summer operations each June through August. Flexible schedules, full and part time, may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shift: six or eight hours with start times varying between 5 am and 5 pm.

Housing

No employer provided housing is available. Applicants should secure independent housing within commuting distance.
