Behaviour Specialist
A dynamicSEN setting in Manchesteris seeking aBehaviour Specialistto supportpupilswith complex behavioural needs. This role demands resilience, initiative, and a deep commitment to helping young people re-engage with learning.
What you'll be doing:- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, and challenging behaviours
- Leading de-escalation, regulation, and restorative strategies
- Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured environment
- Building trust and consistency through clear boundaries and positive relationships
- Experience in PRUs, SEMH schools, or youth work settings
- Confidence, managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and strong team ethic
- Ability to stay calm, consistent, and compassionate in high-pressure situations
