Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, term time only

Aspire People have partnered with a SEN school in Hinckley who are looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience working with children and young people who may display challenging behaviour, emotional difficulties or additional needs, and who is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
About the RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide tailored support to pupils who require additional guidance with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement in education.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
- Supporting children with challenging and complex behaviours
- Helping pupils develop positive behaviour and coping strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation and social development
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Helping pupils re-engage with learning and the school environment
- De-escalating challenging situations calmly and appropriately
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
- Encouraging positive choices, confidence and independence
- Helping create a safe, structured and supportive environment
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
- Is confident managing challenging behaviour
- Has a calm, patient and consistent approach
- Can build strong relationships with pupils who may struggle to engage with education
- Is resilient and able to remain composed in challenging situations
- Understands the importance of positive reinforcement and clear boundaries
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is passionate about making a genuine difference to young people's lives
- Is committed to working Monday-Friday, term time only
