Milk Education is working in partnership with a forward thinking secondary academy in Liverpool, L12 to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor. This is a full time, long term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, raising engagement levels, and helping pupils develop the skills needed to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students with behavioural needs
• Support pupils in managing emotions and developing self regulation strategies
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and families
• Work collaboratively with the pastoral team and SENCO to implement behaviour plans
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Monitor and record student progress and behaviour interventions

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with young people in a school, alternative provision, youth work, or similar setting
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
• Resilient, patient, and empathetic personality
• Ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
• Team Teach training (desirable but not essential)
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
